Brass Saint Brigid's Cross

Brass Saint Brigid's Cross

Product Information

These hand crafted brass St Bridgid's crosses are beautiful items. According to tradition, St Bridgid made a cross from rushes strewn on the floor of a dying man's house. Every year in Ireland, to celebrate the feast day of St Bridgid, (1st February), people make crosses out of rushes and hang them in their homes. You may also notice them  hung in barns and sheds to protect the livestock. These crosses are approximately 4" by 4", and come in an attractive presentation box. They are supplied with a brass wall fixing screw for attaching the cross to the wall.
